Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for an SQL Report Developer position
Description
The SQL Report Developer will design, development and employ database reporting tools for the purpose of translating data into observations and actionable recommendations to management that will improve current business practices and help the enterprise achieve its desired financial objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* The position of SQL Report Developer is located in Atmore, AL and requires an individual that can communicate,
understand, translate, and deliver report requests for a diverse community of operational and corporate managers
* From a set of requirements, they will create and maintain reports using SQL as well as work with a variety of current database applications to create stored procedures, functions and views using SQL
* This job requires interfacing with business owners, internal, and external groups to understand requirements and suggest solutions, troubleshoot problems and support business reporting needs The SQL Report Developer should understand complete report writing process and effectively translate end user reporting requirements into technical design documents with clear knowledge of database relations
* They should systematically identify and define problems, evaluate alternatives and implement effective solutions
* They are expected to create, maintain, and optimize complex reports as well as troubleshoot reporting and report
scheduling issues
* The SQL Report Developer acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Gaming and encourages others to do the same
* Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
Requirements
* B.A. / B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science or directly related business major is required
* A minimum of 3 years of work experience of proven database development experience using MS SQL Server 2000/2005 in a high volume environment is required
* A minimum of 2 years experience using SQL Server Reporting Services in a business environment is required
* A minimum of 2 years experience gathering and analyzing report requirements and translating into technical solutions is required
* A minimum of 2 years experience writing complex stored Procedures and SQL Queries with a demonstrated
understanding of Tables, Indexes, Constraints, Joins, etc is required
