Career opportunities are available for a Mid to Upper Level Systems Engineer to work on a small team as a senior systems engineer on the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS). SWFTS is an engineering and development effort that provides services to support the deployment of submarine systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with developers to ensure requirements are met.
• Work directly with program managers and other lead engineers to ensure all milestones are met.
• Develop or manage the development of test tools as required to support system testing.
SKILLS
• DoD and/or Homeland Security experience highly desired
• Unix/Linux based operating system experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform requirement analysis and create test products.
• Understanding of installation, configuration, and test of operating systems, applications and COTS/GOTS software.
• Thorough understanding of development life cycle and test processes.
• Strong problem analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be a quick learner and be adaptable to new technologies
• Must be willing to occasionally travel within CONUS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• MS/BS in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience
