Principal Responsibilities:
• Design, create and/or maintain internal and external web applications.
• Provides technical assistance on business issues, services, program(s), and/or computer hardware and software, etc.
• Understand technical and functional design requirements.
• Determines the resources needed to plan and implement IT applications. Discusses requirements with end users and provides software suggestions and recommendations to users to help them understand potential limitations and challenges.
• Design, enhance, or implement systems and/or subsystems that reflect the changing needs of the business.
• Monitor and evaluate operations, programs, processes and/or practices for quality and effectiveness; makes recommendations for improvement.
• Coordinate program activities, services, and/or program implementation with private providers, other entities, program users, etc.
• Review and adjusts edit checks to ensure database integrity.
• Write or draft correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials.
• Meet with vendors on new and existing products, evaluates usefulness and cost of products and makes recommendations.
• Draw/create and/or select graphic charts, working drawings, illustrations, maps, etc., for publications/displays or similar projects; adapt sketches/drawings to meet specific technical or publication requirements.
• Mentor junior developers to aid in learning new skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related focus
• Generally more than 7+ years related experience.
• Strong background in .NET: ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, .NET Framework 2.0
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, SOA, Web Services
• Excellent client-side JavaScript skills (AJAX)
• Strong SQL Server, with T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, reporting services
• Strong Understanding of computer web based architecture
• Business and/or organizational program(s), Workflow and Processes
• High degree of subject matter knowledge
• Write computer programs for various purposes
• Writes effective stored procedures.
• Test software using appropriate methodology and techniques
• Architect relational databases
• Perform research using the Internet and other computer-related sources
• Use industry-specific software application program(s)
• Provide technical assistance to users
• Coordinate computer systems and application design
• Plan, organize and prioritize time and workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
• Evaluate information against a set of standards
• Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
• Provide consultation and/or expert advice or testimony
• Coordinate the activities or tasks of people, groups and/or organization(s)
• Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing.
• Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and achieve results.
• Great Plains, Ektron CMS, RightNow, SalesForce.com, StoreFront a plus.
