JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for various SQA activities of Platform / Feature Test.

Required Specific Previous Experience:
Network Platform SQA.
SQA experience must include one or more of the following: MEF conformance / certification, L2VPN, Pseudowire & VPWS, L2TP, Q-in-Q, MAC-in-MAC.

KEY DUTIES:
# Work within a SQA team planning, documenting, testing, automation and debugging software.
# Will be responsible for design and development of test plan, test cases, and test execution.
# Will be responsible for automation of test cases for full regressions.
# Interfacing with functional groups within the development organization.
# Close working relationship with development team.
# Team atmosphere.
# Network vendor interoperability.
# Functional, Scale, Performance testing.

FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
# Knowledge and experience with ATM, POS, FR and Ethernet is highly desirable.
# Experience in testing L2 and L3 protocols.
# Proficient at testing networking equipment, switches, routers, and gateways.
# Expertise in Perl and TCL scripting language for last five years.
# Proficient with traffic generation 3rd party test equipment such as Agilent N2X, IXIA, SmartBits, Adtech.
# Knowledge of defect tracking systems and basic software test methodologies and processes is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
# B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
# Minimum of six years software quality experience in the telecommunications or related industry.
# Demonstrated Capabilities for SQA deliverables including test plans, automation and execution of tests.
# Able to work well in a cross-organizational team with hardware, diagnostics, and software.
# Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
# Comfortable working independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
