Sr Java User Interface Engineer
Work in a growing San Francisco company seeking experienced and passionate User Interface Engineers to develop the state of the art reporting and analytics application for the enterprise. Very attractive stock options along with competitive salary and benefits.
Employees in this role will report to the Director of Engineering. You will be part of a tight-knit team of client-server application developers, and must have a strong understanding of professional software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will also work with both User Experience and Product Management teams to distill requirements and specifications into designs and prototypes, as well as final implementation.
Required
• 5 years of commercial Java experience
• 2 years of Swing / AWT experience
• Strong experience with MVC (Model-View-Controller) development
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and patterns
• Strong concurrent programming practices
• Good knowledge of SQL and RDBMS
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Ability to create and communicate high level and detailed designs and prototypes from functional specifications
• Strong experience writing unit and functional tests; must be quality conscious.
• BS (MS) in CS/CE or equivalent
Preferred

• JavaScript / AJAX
• Python
• Background in Human-Computer Interaction / User Experience
• ETL / ORM
• RMI / Web services
• XML / XML-Schema / XSLT
• Experience developing analytical tools
• Internationalization and localization of Java applications
