Duties include but are not limited to the following:
SYSTEM SECURITY EVALUATION EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience conducting evaluations of system acquisition, design, development, maintenance, operation processes, and resulting products in order to verify and validate that each process, activity, and task is performed in accordance with established security policies, plans and procedures.
2. Experience providing technical guidance on the establishment and use of the appropriate standards, plans, processes, and procedures to ensure that the desired level of system security is achieved.
REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience reviewing and evaluating recommendations for new or enhanced technical and operational services and providing guidance on the establishment of security requirements and standards.
2. Experience reviewing and analyzing security requirements documents to ensure all security related policy requirements have been addressed, providing guidance on the establishment of detailed system security plans for ensuring system requirements are met, and reviewing proposed changes to system requirements to evaluate the impact on system security.
VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience evaluating security vulnerabilities with regard to confidentiality, integrity, and availability and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
2. Experience assisting government security officers, system developers, and system managers in identifying technical and operational security threats and vulnerabilities associated with planned concepts of operation and system designs.
3. Experience assisting government security officers, system developers, and system managers in identifying, and evaluating risks and preparing a risk mitigation strategy.
SYSTEM SECURITY ANALYSIS SERVICES:
1. Experience performing system security analysis and recommending strategies for improving or enhancing system security.
2. Experience providing guidance on the development of security requirements, plans, and standards.
3. Experience reviewing system specifications to ensure security requirements are met and review proposed system changes and modifications to determine impact on system security.
CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION TESTING AND DOCUMENTATION SERVICES:
1. Experience assisting with certification and accreditation (C&A) testing of IT systems, to include the writing of test plans and the proper documentation of all test results, in order to verify and validate that the systems conform with all applicable policies, regulations, and standards and meet specified security requirements.
2. Experience conducting reviews of major systems to ensure that the management, operational, personnel, and technical controls are functioning effectively.
3. Experience with re-accreditation of systems, to include the writing of test plans, the proper documentation of all test results, and any updates to existing C&A packages.
SECURITY DATA MANAGEMENT SERVICES:
1. Experience collecting, assembling, and maintaining project data in accordance with government policy, practice, and standards.
* MUST be self-starter with ability to identify areas for IT Security process improvement.
* REQUIRES excellent written and oral communication skills.
* REQUIRES Active U.S. Top Secret clearance
