Applied Engineering has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Fargo or Bismarck, ND. Position will be responsible for designing software for controls of electrical systems on off-highway equipment. This includes writing software to control hydraulic pumps and cylinders, drive train, and operator joysticks, and communications with sensors, gauges, solenoids, etc. back to the main electronic controller on the machines.
Requirements include a BSEE with a minimum of 3 years experience. Candidates must have experience with embedded control systems including C/C++ programming skills; knowledge of GUI's; CAN open bus, J1939, RS232 or RS45 communication protocols; Matlab; software configuration tools, and have the ability to read electrical schematics.
