Overview
TP Systems' IT staffing division brings experienced IT professionals together with BC based hiring organizations on a full-time and contract basis.
One of our well established clients is currently seeking an E-Commerce Developer to work out of Victoria. The successful candidate will be ensuring the design; development and deployment of all websites. He/She is also responsible to ensure that these sites are coded for efficiency, and streamlined for integration with other web properties. The candidate will be expected to have strong analytical skills as to, evaluating potential web sites and providing critical feedback.
Responsibilities:
Find, diagnose, and fix website problems.
Create and automate statistics & metric reporting tools for web traffic.
Recommend and implement enhancements and modifications to the websites
Monitor, analyze, and report on website traffic
Manage the acquisition and ongoing maintenance of the organization's domain names with the appropriate registrars
Manage the acquisition of the new web properties
Skills and Experience:
Working knowledge of common web technologies such as PHP, ASP, JSP, Java, .NET, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, XML, CSS and SQL
Entry level knowledge of search engine optimization techniques
Academic exposure to web strategies
Conceptual knowledge of Flash and Photoshop
Ability to handle shifting priorities, strategies and be able to meet long term goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent diploma or work experience
