Business Logic Alliance Position: Developer
Business Logic Alliance is a web solutions and online brand management firm with focus on web innovations for top brands, deployment of enterprise solutions, and online brand management.
We are currently looking for a Developer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be required to work up to 40 hours a week, five days per week, on-site. Travel within Vancouver Metro Area will be required. This is a contract position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• In collaboration with the development team and depending on the size of the project, develop subsystems or all of client projects using technologies assigned by the technical architect
• Develop software using a variety of languages
• Research and experiment with new technologies and share your discoveries with the team
• Partner with QA throughout the development process and quickly respond to bugs and errors identified by QA
• Ensure bugs are rectified and accurate moving forward and prepare documentation explaining the steps taken to overcome bugs
• Prepare accurate documentation throughout the project
• Participate in project meetings including post project analysis and provide insightful input and ideas and effectively communicate project status and challenges
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
• Recent experience with development with SharePoint2007 and SQL on large web sites
• Ability to learn new languages and software
• A demonstrated understanding of databases and .Net programming ( will be tested on)
• Computer Science degree or diploma or equivalent experience and/or obvious talent
• An appreciation for software engineering principals such as unit testing and source code control
• An understanding of the principals of object oriented design
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• All applicants should have excellent English language written and verbal communication skills; working knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
