The Sync and Build Engineer is a key player in delivering quality and on-time
products in the Server Access Virtualization Business Unit. The individual
is expected to have a diverse set of technical skills. Extensive communication
and collaboration with other engineers is essential to success in this position.
Self-management skills are very important. The ability to produce consistent
and quality work under time deadlines is highly important. The position allows
the individual to expand their career deeper into the areas of development,
tooling and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Syncing and merge of code between different lines of development.
* Work with development to locate and fix compilation and build issues.
* Improve the automation and tooling the build and release process.
* Work with QA and development to facilitate the verification of releases.
* Document best practices and FAQs
Job Requirements:
* At least 2 years experience in C, C++ or Java
* At least 2 years using an SCM system (ClearCase, Perforce, Subversion, etc.)
* At least 2 years utilizing any scripting language (Python, Perl, shell)
* At least 2 years using Unix/Linux systems
* Ability to work independently as well as with others.
* Ability to juggle multiple tasks on tight schedules.
