Our client, a healthcare services company, is looking for a Software Compliance Project Consultant for a permanent position.
Responsibilities
Providing software license compliance and software asset management leadership and support.
Performing complex software audits.
Advising and assisting district with license compliance concepts and processes necessary for license compliance.
Performing software asset management analyses to leverage software licenses.
Managing and communicating license details of enterprise software agreements.
Developing software compliance standard policies and procedures.
Maintaining an inventory of all software programs and operating systems in use.
Understanding vendor's requirements to maintain the proper ratio of number of copies in use to number of licenses paid for.
Maintaining records to be able to prove that all copies in use were purchased legitimately, and that all licenses are current and paid-up.
Works closely with vendors, purchasing, and IT teams to ensure the best return on investment for all software investment.
Enforces the software licensing policy by monitoring software licensing compliance and making recommendations.
Perform contract management
Process payment for maintenance or renewal fees on contracts
Prepare Board of Manager recommendation letter for contract fees
The role includes but not limited to providing recommendations and support to other IT teams on how to comply with software licensing law.
Four (4) year degree, advanced degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Minimum of six (6) years related industry experience with risk management, software auditing and license management. Experience reviewing and administering shrink-wrap and negotiated software license agreements. Prior experience in a software licensing compliance function and role within a large corporation a strong plus. Previous experience in contract management.
Familiar with MS Office suite, SMS, software management tools
