Database administration for multiple database platforms, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Hyperion Essbase databases. Responsibilities will cover all aspects of database administration including capacity planning and monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, data archival, account maintenance, and application deployment. The position will support both corporate and global manufacturing business applications.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment. Strong analytical skills and a willingness to research solutions independently. Willingness to travel to remote production facilities. Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks. Working knowledge of multiple scripting languages (PERL, KSH, PL/SQL, etc...). Proficiency in industry-standard database tools (TOAD, OEM, etc.). Working knowledge of server hardware and the Windows and Unix operating systems is a plus.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
