Responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, securing data (backups), monitoring, and coordinating details of the Albany plant server environment, telephone switch, and network infrastructure. Will work with internal and external clients as well as suppliers as required to provide a stable and secure environment. Will assist other IT personnel as necessary. Will be required to work additional hours, outside of the normal work hours to support, monitor, and administer the environment.
Associate degree (Bachelor preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Strong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of employees. Proficiency in the Windows and Windows Server Operating Systems as well as Active Directory. The ability to understand, test and troubleshoot software is also necessary. Must possess a basic understanding of communications and networking. Must be a self-starting, team oriented individual and work well with limited direction. Must display a willingness to travel to other facilities when necessary.
