MERIDIAN Technology Group seeks a WebSphere Administrator JW6768 with a minimum of 5+ years relevant experience in a multi-platform environment and multi system environment. Must have experience in UNIX system administration, PC server administration, web infrastructure, or firewall administration. Knowledge of HTTP servers, Directory Servers, Introscope or WebTrends preferred.
You will participate in a team environment for the installation, upgrade and maintenance of WebSphere Application Servers under the direction or coaching of senior team members. Duties include but are not limited to WebSphere Application Server 5.x and 6.x installation, upgrade and patches; performance tuning; and documentation. You will adhere to the departmental policies and procedures including, but are not limited to technical and architecture standards, production implementation standards, regular status reporting, participation in team meetings, one on one meetings with supervisor and team lead, and providing work estimates and regular time tracking. Excellent organizational and communication skills both verbal and written required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
