Web Developer -- Contract Opportunity -- Irvine CA
One of our top clients in Irvine CA is looking for a Web Developer for a 3 month contract. General duties will include web site maintenance and optimization, content updates, UI design and development, requirements gathering and project estimation. Will be responsible for analyzing requirements, determining effort, and providing deliverable dates for projects and site enhancement requests. Will work with Technology team members to design and develop new web site functionality and with Creative and Product Management teams to design and develop web site user experience. Additional responsibilities include documenting new web site functionality, supporting QA and deployment activities, troubleshooting production defects
Requirements:
* 3+ years web development experience involving the markup and web programming languages mentioned below
* The candidate chosen for this role will be working on a ASP.Net web application, so it is important they have RECENT experience with ASP.Net
* Intermediate working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSL, XSLT, Photoshop/ Image Ready CS
* Intermediate working knowledge of a web programming language (PHP, ASP, ASP.net) as it relates to the front-end user experience
* Intermediate working knowledge of W3C standards browser compatibility issues
* Beginning to Intermediate knowledge of ASP.net 1.1/2.x/3.x and C#
* Working knowledge of SQL Server or other databases, IIS, and project development methodologies
* Ability to hand-code HTML and DHTML/JavaScript
* Can use common development tools (such as Visual Studio.net) proficiently
* Experience optimizing graphics for use on the internet
* Knowledge of web standards, browser compatibility, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
* Effective problem solving, oral and written communication skills
* Well-developed design sense with an emphasis in the retail web space including user interface and user experience
* Presentable portfolio of development work online desired
* Knowledge of Actionscript 2.0/3.0 and Flash CS3 is a plus
