POSITION TITLE: Junior Database Consultant
LOCATION: Toronto
DURATION: 3 Month CONTRACT
RATE: $25-$30 / hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is looking for a Junior Database consultant. This individual must be a creative thinker who is self-motivated and in-touch with evolving technologies.
Our client works with some of the world's largest software vendors. The successful candidate will receive training in and get exposure to cutting-edge CRM, data-mining and marketing automation software. Interacting directly with technical experts and management of leading web marketing corporations, this consultant will be given the opportunity for unparalleled industry exposure.
In-house flexible hours and casual dress are the norm to promote quality service, work, and team dynamics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support client management requests for analysis and support
- Work closely with client management team
- Conduct ongoing research of marketing platforms and technologies
- Learn software development lifecycles and other IT lifecycle strategies as they pertain to CRM practices
- Manage multiple assignments and tasks
- On-site professionalism is a must
- Occasional travel to California, Phoenix, New York, and other U.S. and Canadian locations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary Computer Science Degree/diploma
- Ability to demonstrate best practices and usability engineering methodologies
- Understanding of CRM Technologies and implementing audience targeting web solutions
- Experience with database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
- Strong .NET, J2EE, and HTML development skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and team skills
- Enthusiastic, passionate, and a desire to learn better consulting practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability and willingness to learn user-centered design tools and methodology, (infrastructure design, information architecture, testing strategies, and CRM evaluation)
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills in person, by phone and, potentially, as a presenter.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Mathematics/Computer Science
- overall understanding of and experience with the entire Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience working on large software development projects
- experience with marketing software (Microsoft CRM, Siebel, Unica, Epiphany)
- understanding of marketing concepts (Data Mining, Personalization, Analytics)
