POSITION TITLE: Senior J2EE Developer
LOCATION: Mississauga
DURATION: Full-Time, Permanent
POSITION PURPOSE:
Our client's information technology group consists of more than 30 developers and technicians with expertise in WEB development. Currently, our client is porting its enterprise development to web services environment. Therefore, they are looking to augment the current development skill set with J2EE expertise
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Analyze business requirements and opportunities and assist project team with respect to architecture of the technical solution and provide recommendations on best system solution
2. Produce system architecture design and detail design specification and service interfaces to address the new integration requirements.
3. Convert design and functional specifications into computer code at both the server and presentation layer.
4. Work with other team members via code review and standard software development practices (SDLC).
5. Perform alpha, unit and integration tests.
6. Develop user, maintenance and technical support documentation.
7. Mentor less experienced developers in J2EE environment
8. Integrate third party components, solutions, or entire applications in order to achieve required business functionality.
9. Create and maintain technical environments.
10. Deploy solution and work with technical services to develop production service level agreement
QUALIFICATIONS:
Business:
Your professional development experience must have been achieved in any of the following industries:
- Retail, Distribution, Supply Chain, ERP and/or B2B - eCommerce
- Experience working with all levels of management.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Work extremely well in team environment.
Technical:
You must have solid understanding of following and related experience with as many different technologies as possible:
(1) Programming: JAVA, Java Servlet, JavaScript, Servlets, XML
(2) Platforms: BEA Weblogic, JMS, J2EE, J2EE Application Services, ALSB
(3) Source Controller: Subversion (SVN, Eclipse, EJB Development
(4) Application Framework: APACHE STRUTS, JSF,
(5) Data Bases: Oracle, JDBC, Sybase, SQL Server
(6) System Modeling: UML
(7) Operating Systems: OS -- UNIX, NT/Win2000, Linux
(8) Development: J2EE certified development environment. Extensive hands on experience with Enterprise Java Beans, JSP, static web pages and navigation design.
