We are seeking an engineer to join a team responsible for development, debug and delivery of GPU drivers (OS and firmware) for Apple's world-class computer products. This engineer will be responsible for working with both internal teams and vendor teams on critical features and complex troubleshooting to enable delivery of Apple products. The successful candidate will be a high-energy problem-solver with a passion for excellence and a track record of "getting the job done." We are looking for people who are excellent team players, and who also work well on individual assignments. A background in OS drivers or firmware drivers is essential. Expertise in areas such as display driver or GPU firmware is also a plus. Because our team is very delivery-focused we tend to work on numerous programs with relatively short deadlines.
Qualifications:
• Driver programming expertise is required
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills are required
• Experience completing projects and delivering software to customers is highly desired (experience developing for consumer products preferred)
• Experience working on complex projects and coordinating with people from multiple organizations is a plus
• Kernel debugging experience is highly desired
• Experience with memory management, performance optimization, display driver or GPU firmware are all advantages
Experience:
BS is required
Minimum of 2 years professional experience CPU or GPU development
