Healthcare Analyst (Quantitative/Statistical Analysis)
Position Description
Consortium Health Plans (CHP) is a prestigious national health plan marketing organization based in Columbia, Maryland. Consortium Health Plans provides strategic market intelligence, strong market relationships and leading-edge sales tools to its national members. We are seeking a talented Healthcare Analyst to perform data analysis and research using business intelligence applications.
Department: Sales Analytics, National Account Services
Reports to: Director, Sales Analytics
Education Required:
Bachelor degree in math, statistics, economics, health policy or business related field.
Experience Required:
One to three years of experience in compiling data and performing research and quantitative data analysis. Demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments and independently work on multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Perform updates to hospital data for Network Compare. Includes acquisition, validation, research, reconciliation and processing of BCBS and competitors hospital data to produce final database for Network Compare.
• Assist Sales Analytics staffing development of new programs and services and provide ongoing support for departmental operations.
• Gather, analyze, develop, and report healthcare analytics in support of National Account Sales.
• Interact with CHP staff to efficiently integrate healthcare analytics with other departments and activities.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and programs protecting confidential and proprietary Plan data and information.
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience using SQL, SAS and other business intelligence applications to perform quantitative/statistical analysis.
• Self-motivated to prioritize work on multiple complex projects with ongoing deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with internal staff and develop relationships with Plans staff and consultants.
Salary: $45,000 to $60,000 depending upon experience
