TAME Search (www.tameinc.com) is currently searching for an experienced Software QA professional for a position with an exciting software development firm near the airport.

Our Client develops sophisticated web-enabled lending systems for financial institutions across Canada. They are the leading marketers of credit insurance products and technology for the Canadian credit union industry and have established themselves firmly as a leader in this market niche. They are looking for a talented high energy individual looking to work with a seasoned team.

Role:

Reporting to the IT Quality Assurance Manager, you will work in a cross-functional team environment. The primary focus of this position includes:

• Carrying out established procedures to ensure all programs & projects meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.
• Thoroughly testing applications, MANUALLY, to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
• Performing work-flow analysis and recommending quality improvements.
• Using customer driven use cases, write and execute test plans that verify our Client's solutions meet and exceed the high demands of their customer community.
• Documenting all problems and working with developers and analysts to resolve them.

Skills and Experience

Qualified applicants must have:

• 2+ years experience as a QA analyst testing web and Windows applications.
• Working knowledge of one or more automated testing tools (Compuware's Test Partner).
• Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of relational databases.
• Working knowledge of .Net platform, including Smart Client and ASP.NET.
• Thorough knowledge of the development lifecycle.
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.

Nice to have skills and experience include:
• Financial services background with experience in lending.
