SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for the Program Management of multiple complex development projects within the R&D Department of client's company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the management of assigned design and contribution of cross functional team members in the definition, design, realization, validation, and production release of complex new or existing infant care systems or products.
• Responsible for the development of OEM product designs, and providing assessments relating to adherence to design specifications, schedules, quality and regulatory requirements, and cost targets Closely interacts with marketing organization to obtain and refine customer needs in the generation of product requirements and technical system requirements.
• Ensures the mapping of the market/customer requirements into design specifications.
• Responsible for development and maintenance of complex project schedules and budget, provides reporting of key metrics to management team, and manages the development team/process to ensure the on-time completion of project milestones.
• Contributes to program planning, strategic planning, budgeting, and departmental process improvement initiatives.
• Maintains technical ownership of design ideas from concept through product launch.
• Institutes control systems to ensure the strategic goals of the company are met
• Review work of Program Managers and all project key decisions to ensure company objectives are met
• Works in a collaborative engineering environment with teams in other client groups world-wide
• Ensures compliance to all internal SOPs and FDA and industry regulations
• Represents the department and company factually and professionally in facility audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS in Engineering discipline, MS Preferred
• PMP Certification preferred
• Ten to fifteen years in the development of complex embedded systems including five plus years in project management in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience in a medical devices preferred.
• Skilled in the management of multi-disciplined engineering teams in an FDA regulated environment.
• A thorough understanding of developing products using a structured new product development process.
• Ability to work successfully across functional lines
• Knowledge of GMPs as defined by the FDA; familiarity with UL, CSA, IEC and other various regulatory standards.
