TAME Search (www.tameinc.com) is seeking a professional product manager with consumer and commercial lending experience to join this dynamic software development firm.
The Client develops sophisticated web-enabled lending systems for financial institutions across Canada. They are the leading marketers of credit insurance products and technology for the Canadian credit union industry and have established themselves firmly as a leader in this market niche.
They are looking for a talented high energy individual looking to join a seasoned team that has established themselves firmly as a leader in this market niche.
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer
Working in a cross-functional team environment, the primary focus of this position includes:
• Designing and establishing the overall marketing strategy of a group of products.
• Establishing processes for the management of product group requirements throughout their lifecycle.
• Performing field tests to determine a need for new products, existing product modification or changes to the organization's marketing strategy including the management of focus and user groups. Specifically this includes analyzing competitive information, market trends, business practices in lending, legislative requirements, and customer needs in order to provide recommendations on product improvements.
• Reviewing specific client requests and determining the scope and applicability to the market nationally.
• Performing product presentations and demonstrations at various levels and for various audiences.
• Developing, researching and presenting product plans and roadmaps to address client engagements, business challenges and product positioning for both consumer and commercial loans origination systems.
• Managing product releases.
• Providing guidance and advice to clients on the use of business applications of the products, including advanced functions and productivity enhancement.
• Guiding business analysts on product features' development and be able to make key decisions with regards to the products' development.
Qualified applicants must have:
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent, and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• A solid understanding of consumer and commercial lending best practices.
• Previous Product launch experience
• A familiarity with a variety of the lending industry's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Enough work experience, educational background and common sense to rely on your extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and be comfortable with the wide degree of creativity and latitude that is expected.
• The ability to lead and direct the work of others
• The ability to multi-task.
Nice to have skills and experience include:
• Familiar with Credit Unions
• Experience with software development life cycle.
• Working knowledge of the Smart Client model.
Education:
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
