This is the perfect opportunity to showcase your Avaya skills! We have a 6 month contract to hire opportunity available in Houston, TX (downtown) for a solid voice engineer.
Qualified individual will have experience with the planning, design, implementation and management of projects that may include new locations or deploying new technologies across the network. This individual will need to hit the ground running and be able to identify, evaluate and gather business needs in order to design voice solutions on a small to enterprise level basis. Avaya Certifications are highly desired and must be current. Will consider extensive experience in lieu of Certifications.
REQUIRED:
1. 5+ years Avaya experience.
2. Enterprise level experience.
3. Gathering business needs and designing corresponding voice solutions.
4. Implementing and troubleshooting Avaya S87XX/S83XX/S85XX class media servers.
5. Implementing and troubleshooting gateways with Avaya Communication Manager 5.0 and higher.
6. Knowledge of Modular Messaging and Witness Call Recording.
7. Implementing Avaya CM, VoIP, and Modular Messaging/Audix.
8. Strong knowledge of Voice infrastructure (wiring, cabling, add, move, change configurations, T1 / T3, local access, etc).
DESIRED:
1. Cisco switching would be beneficial to accommodate VoIP implementations and convergence.
