The Congressional Research Service (CRS) Office of Technology seeks a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC). If you are selected for this position you will manage the implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess and minimize system vulnerabilities, and ensure that CRS information security programs are integrated with the information security programs of the Library of Congress and the United States Congress. You will also develop and ensure compliance with information security policies, standards and guidelines; provide regular Information Technology (IT) security training to CRS managers and staff; evaluate and monitor the work of IT security vendors and contractors; and provide expert analysis and advice on a wide range of issues and problems related to information systems security.
CRS works exclusively for the United States Congress, providing policy and legal analysis to committees and Members of both the House and Senate, regardless of party affiliation. As a legislative branch agency within the Library of Congress, CRS has been a valued and respected resource on Capitol Hill for nearly a century. CRS is well known for analysis that is authoritative, confidential, objective and nonpartisan. Its highest priority is to ensure that Congress has access to the nation's best thinking.
