Overview
TP Systems' IT staffing division brings experienced IT professionals together with BC based hiring organizations on a full-time and contract basis. Our client is seeking a C++ Programmer to design, develop and maintain software components for various products. Working in a team environment, he/she creates deliverables that will be integrated to the application using MFC and the Windows API. The developer will get exposure to all areas of the software development life cycle including work in the design, implementation, testing and maintenance aspects of the product. As a creative individual and an active team player, the Software Developer enjoys and thrives in the fast-pasted and highly skilled software development environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work within the application development team to build software components.
Participate in architecture and technical design with the Development Manager and/or other software developers.
Provide software implementation according to defined development process and coding standards.
Interact with QA to ensure the final deliverables meet high quality standards.
Skills and Experience
2+ years of relevant working experience.
Good knowledge and empirical working experience in C++ and MFC or Win32 programming
Familiar with the requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and documentation aspects of a software development project
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience developing client applications and/or tools targeted for the Microsoft Windows platform.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of the Windows kernel (file system, registry, processes, etc.)
Experience with source code management systems
Experience with WTL and ATL
