Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Under general direction, formulates / defines system scope and objectives for applications / programs requiring in-house custom development. In addition to the individual's technical proficiency, he/she also devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Competent to work at a high technical level of all phases of application systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for completion of a phase of a project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced personnel.
Candidate should have experience in modules currently in use at UCMC (HR, Payroll, Payables, Purchasing, iProcurement). Consideration would also be given to GL, but Oracle background is most crucial component. Candidate must demonstrate Oracle 11i eBusiness experience. Development skills should focus around newer technology components such as XML, XML Publisher, JAVA. Consideration will also be given older technologies like Discoverer and PL/SQL.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate, BS or BA degree, in computer science or technical area preferred, or equivalent training or work experience
2. Four years of directly applicable experience in systems analysis, programming and technical design.
3. Minimum two-years experience in technical documentation writing.
4. Proven skills in problem solving.
5. Must work well in a team environment and be able to partner with both business and technical team members.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills required.
7. Requires strong multitasking skills; must be a self-starter and able to deliver results on a proactive and independent basis.
8. Experience in a health care environment helpful.
9. Expertise in the programming language/ tools used in the position required.
