Role Description
Client is looking for a Senior Manager/Director -- Customer Intelligence to provide overall leadership in this sphere ensuring that our client is a leader in customer insight and intelligent analysis. The incumbent will partner with senior management and Account Directors to harness the power of analytics and intelligence in an effort to consistently improve client satisfaction. A senior professional with people management experience the incumbent has advanced skills in data mining and data analytics, and with campaign management tools. He/she will be charged with pushing forward customer intelligence while working closely with our senior management to develop our strategy for our automotive Account and other key clients.
Working closely with our senior management and Account Directors, sets the direction and strategy for Customer Intelligence at (my client):
- Engages in a thorough assessment of our current program and makes recommendations for improvements
- Ensures that we define, measure and understand the customer experience; gain market and competitive intelligence; maximize loyalty and retention for our customers
- Proactively assesses potential risks and opportunities
- Keeps abreast of current trends, best practices and industry standards
- Manages and monitors data analytics and business analysis operations ensuring that such meet the needs of our client
- Ensures that (my client) is a leader in data mining and in statistical methodologies
- Manages a team of professionals working in the area of data analytics and business analysis
- Makes recommendations regarding campaign pulls and post analysis procedures
- Works with our Data Analytics Professionals to build predictive models and segmentation tools to enhance targeting customer incentives; builds customer profiles using statistical tools
- Works closely with our Technology Professionals to ensure program needs are being maintained and to address any potential risk areas
- Creates and maintains a reporting system to track our initiatives
- Provides guidance and mentorship in the area of data strategy, management and analytics
- Interacts regularly with the client to understand their needs and to explore additional 'add value' opportunities
- Stays connected in the industry by proactively seeking opportunities to speak at conferences and seminars of interest and relevance to (my client)
- Participates in ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
- 7-10 years experience working in the area of data analytics, business analysis, and database marketing ideally in the marketing and communications field; 2-3 years experience working in a management or leadership capacity
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field including Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Superior analytical and technology skills with an ability to assess business challenges on a macro and micro level
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and E.piphany
- Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
- Strong client facing skills and the ability to communicate with confidence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
- Highly professional and presentable with a strong business acumen
