RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Developing software for medical information and imaging products
• Design, implementation and test of applications that use Microsoft and other industry standard technologies.
• Application design within the requirements established for a given project.
• Working closely with other staff members to coordinate assignments and communicate progress and/or difficulties.
• Participation in department-specific and project-wide meetings.
• Providing input, solutions and recommendations.
• Performing with other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
• BS or BE in computer related field.
• At least 7 years experience in Object Oriented implementation, preferably using Microsoft Windows and C++, to include at least 5 years product development experience.
• Language/environment knowledge: C++, MS Windows, MSXML (XMLDOM, XSL, XPATH)
• Thorough understanding of:
• COM and ATL as used in Microsoft Windows
• Object Oriented Design
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Strong software development discipline.
• Assertive team player with demonstrated initiative.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Desired:
• MS in Computer Science
• Microsoft Windows Shell Programming
• Software development experience in the healthcare industry, especially hospital informatics, RIS or PACS.
