Exciting opportunity to take your Cisco Firewall skills to the next level! We have a 6 month contract to hire opportunity in Houston working for an enterprise level organization.

This position requires a strong background and experience with Firewall components including: Symantec, VPN, PIX, VPN Gateways, GRE tunneling, and telecom knowledge including 2 way radios sufficient to coordinate telecom vendor activities. Qualified individual will be responsible for creating designs, implementing and supporting small to medium sized solutions as well as providing Tier II support for LAN / WAN network software and hardware.

REQUIRED:
1. Broad knowledge of Cisco equipment, including complex devices such as Catalyst switches from 3750 to 6500's. Cisco routers up to 7200 models.
2. Experience with VoIP including installing and maintaining Cisco Call Manager systems and Unity Voice Mail.
3. Documentation of network architecture including following formal Management of Change processes.
4. Symantec, VPN, PIX, VPN Gateways, GRE tunneling, and telecom knowledge including 2 way radios sufficient to coordinate telecom vendor activities.
5. Network designs and platform layouts.
6. CCSP and/or CCNP Certifications - must be current.

EDUCATION
4 year degree preferred, but not required.
