Tester / QA Analyst PMO

6 Months contract in Plano, TX


Job Description:

The Quality Services Tester role will participate in the test planning and execution for an initiative within the Enterprise Data projects. This includes gathering testing requirements, developing quality test cases, defect management and the actual execution of the testing efforts.
Working with aggressive testing schedules, this tester will be required to work with client/division project teams and the core warehouse group throughout several testing phases.
The testing work managed will also be in support the efforts of Project 1UP.
Position has potential to turn into a full time employee role.


Skill Sets

3 years - Solid project mangement skills; PMO certification preferred; Solid and proven experience working with large complex projects.
5+ years of testing experience; industry standard IT testing practices and tools; Proven ability to lead test planning, case development and execution
Knowledge of ETL; automated testing tools (mercury); script writing; Tool set - Ab Initio, Teradata, Informatica -- preferred; basic SQL knowledge needed
Good written and oral communications; some training skills may be required; Service orientation; self directed; process driven and customer focused; Proven ability to work horizontally and vertically across an organization of diverse teams and leadership styles; Highly self-motivated with a history of achieving results with little supervision.
Data warehouse testing knowledge highly preferred Desired Skills.
5 years - Working knowledge of project support tools like: PowerPoint, Word, Excel and MS Project; Ability to maintain schedules and status reports on a weekly and monthly basi
5 years - Drive issue mangaement process at their level for the project; proper escalation as needed
Team collaboration skills - working with others within the team and external to team


Required Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, minimum 5 years experience.
