Robert Bosch, LLC, a Global $55 Billion Corporation is seeking to fill the following position for their Automotive Aftermarket Division, which is located in Broadview, IL: Senior Essbase Programmer. The Sr. Essbase programmer must have hands on in-depth experience with the full life cycle of multidimensional-based financial reporting and analytical application projects. The Analyst will be responsible for requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, production rollout, documentation, and on-going maintenance for Financial Reporting and Planning systems using Hyperion Essbase and excel VBA. More specifically, the Analyst will have extensive, proven experience with the Hyperion Essbase platform including outline design, load rules, calc scripts,(write/maintain/enhance), Esscmd and MaxL scripting, batch scripts, security objects, tuning, optimization, and the Excel Add-in. Create custom processes to aid in Essbase data validation and confirm system outputs are correct (data integrity). Create and maintain Microsoft Excel VBA and front-ends to support various reporting needs. Perform daily tie-outs with source systems.
Specific Responsibilities
•Create and maintain Essbase application objects including: database outline, calc scripts, data loadscripts, security objects, etc.
•Develop/Enhance the automated processes enabling the Essbase applications to operate in a true production environment. This will involve creation and maintenance of command scripts that automate the routine loading processes defined.
•Perform problem determination, analysis and resolution for users.
•Work with other departments to facilitate issue resolution including delivery of programming fixes.
•Maintain, support and manage all assigned applications. This includes administration, tuning, production fixes, upgrades, and routine maintenance of the Essbase applications.
•Define and document test cases to effectively test the new components.
•Manage change via an established change management process.
•Implement customized financial models designed to meet the customer requirements.
•Strong functional background of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
•Highly skilled in Excel and Access, including writing Microsoft Excel VBA.
•Experience with fast-paced, time-constrained development.
•Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task assignments/projects.
•Provide support to the user community.

•College degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. (The level of education, experience, specialized knowledge or skills, and competencies necessary to perform the duties of the job).
•5-7+ years of work experience with the Hyperion Essbase product.
•AS/400 relational database experiences a plus.
•Overtime expected.
•Must be detail oriented and self-managing.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, both technical and user focused.
•Excellent documentation skills are required. Translates technical details into descriptions the user can understand. Create documentation to aid learning for others.
•Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills.
•Supports financial analysts for their day-to-day reporting needs.
•Ability to perform duties with general supervision.
•Ability to learn new skill sets as needed. Keep skills updated and ask for coaching or formal training, if necessary.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
