The right candidate for this position will participate in the design and implementation of core middleware and application functionality for a consumer media device. Your ideas can have an immediate, positive impact on the success of our fast-moving, tight-knit team.
Skills and Attributes:
3+ years of experience with C/C++
Experience writing multi-threaded application software for embedded systems
Experience with optimization and performance tuning on embedded systems
Good written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, hands-on generalist in client-server environment
Basic Linux/Unix Network Programming (IP, Sockets, TCP and UDP communication)
Basic understanding of network protocols (i.e. DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP(s), etc)
Experience with embedded databases and performance issues
Experience with file systems and performance issues
Linux O/S experience
Experience working on a consumer media device
Able to work in fast-paced, high-performance development environment
Flexible and team-oriented
Education and Certification:
BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent
