Automation Specialist
Contract to hire role in Norcross, GA
Job Summary:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing tools and scripts for technical teams throughout the company
Designing web pages that tie together information spread across the company
Systems administration, primarily linux (SuSE preferred)
Being familiar with basic functionality of all automation friendly applications.
Assisting QA Analysts in identifying manual test scripts that are candidates for automation.
Performing automated testing on websites and backend applications, performing load simulation testing, and communicating results and potential improvements.
Monitors websites during releases and communicates any performance changes
Keep records/results/logs of production site performance, load simulation, etc.
Additional Responsibilities:
Work with system administrators on knowledge transfer
Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications, Training, and Experience:
Highly skilled in the areas of Test Automation and Load Simulation
Demonstrate solid listening, written, and oral communication skills
Effectively work in a team environment
3-10 years experience in software development in all phases of lifecycle including requirements gathering, designing, implementing, and testing websites in a Win32 and/or Linux environment
Strong C/C++ experience, Object Oriented Design and Programming, and working with and interfacing to scripting languages (i.e. perl, python, working in the Linux, and/or win32environments).
3+ years proven unix/linux system administration experience (SuSE linux preferred)
Ability to work with diverse technical teams to scope and define product requirements.
Ability to effectively apply technical knowledge into design, implementation, and testing into deliverable products.
BS/BA in Computer science -- (desired)
