Innovar Group is seeking a highly skilled individual for a valued client in Thornton, CO. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Scope/Overview:
• Dedication to providing world class customer service. • Monitor daily health of the TSM server environment. • Install, maintain, and support TSM systems and related ISV software stack. • React and respond to day to day problems and changes as they relate to storage administration, including but not limited to: Disk space, Data Backup and Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Backup failures. • Develop and maintain departmental processes and documentation. • Utilize Remedy for Problem Management and Change and Task Management. • Provide Sales support as directed. • Provide immediate escalation of critical client problems that may become serious service delivery issues or may be reported to executive management. • Work with the Engineering group to help develop and test new technology and solutions. • Build comprehensive project plans that outline start and end dates as well as the major tasks to completing the project. • Manage multiple projects and shifting workloads • Participate on projects providing technical expertise for the success of the project • Utilize the change review process and tools as required by each project task. • Attend Design Review meetings to analyze prospective client system design. • Build and execute a comprehensive data migration plan. • Provide post-migration education and support to others in the department and company. • Provide Disaster Recovery Support. • Develop and update DR procedures. • Supply problem determination and resolution while on-site for a DR test. • In the absence of the manager/supervisor assume leadership role of the group. This would include immediate decision-making, distribution of work assignments and general supervisory duties. • Train/mentor junior staff members as appropriate.
Qualifications :
• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent • BS in Computer Science, equivalent Technical School training or equivalent work experience that includes appropriate training courses. • 6 to 10 years experience providing storage administration services to clients. AIX, Microsoft or TSM Certification • Experience with installation, maintenance, and general support of TSM servers and clients and related software products. • Demonstrated in depth knowledge of job specific storage technology (TSM or HSM etc) • Extensive problem-solving skills for debugging TSM, operating systems, and network issues. • In-depth technical knowledge and experience for reviewing and recommending technical solutions for internal and client infrastructure. • Project management experience. • Experience with business continuity technologies & practices, including high-availability, clustering, and data vaulting solutions. • Experience providing services with a data center outsourcer, MSP or web hosting business. • Experience with financial industry IS/IT requirements for security & business continuity. • Ability to lead a diverse team to a common goal. • Experience dealing with IT audits. • Understanding of HP/UNIX, Solaris, NT, Linux, and TCP/IP. • Understanding of data center infrastructure technologies. • Understanding of midrange and storage technologies. • Understanding of network technologies. • Understanding of Tivoli tools, debugging packages, and monitors. • Excellent written and verbal skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Team player, can lead or follow as necessary. • Ability to participate in off-hours and weekend support
