Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Game Developer position.
Description
We are currently seeking a Game Developer who will be responsible for creating and assisting in the initial mathematical design and development of new games.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* MATHEMATICS: Candidate will be responsible for calculation of payback percentages, hit frequencies, standard deviation tables, and hit distribution characteristics for all games, features, progressives, and bonuses produced by their team.
* GAME DESIGN: Responsibility for designing fun, innovative math models for optimal player appeal. Candidate will be required to develop math models for slot/video machines and other casino gaming applications that provide entertainment for players as well as provide revenue for the customer. The individual will also use programming tools to verify math models and create demos.
* GAME PLAY ANALYSIS: Candidate will write simulation program code to analyze game play to maximize player enjoyment. Applicants will also analyze results of simulations to verify games are paying properly.
* SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES: Individual will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the research, design, development, and documentation of game creation. Applicants must work well in a team environment. Candidate must understand the software development process and be proficient at communicating the results of his or her analysis to other members of the team. Successful candidate must be able to work closely with regulatory agencies to resolve regulatory concerns.
Requirements
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED
Requirement:
* Proficiency in mathematics, especially probability and statistics.
* Degree in Math or Engineering or equivalent experience
* Basic programming skills in C++.
* Proficient in use of Excel spreadsheets.
* Creativity and imagination.
* Excellent communication skills required.
* Entry level - 0 to 2 years experiece in gaming or related industry.
