InfoTech Resources is seeking candidates for a Data Communications Security Manager. This is a direct hire position in Myrtle Beach, SC. The qualifed candidate will research, test, evaluate, and recommends data communication and LAN/WAN hardware and software for all locations worldwide. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Maintain network hardware and software. Determine communication efficiency, reliability and compatibility with existing and future communication and LAN/WAN solutions. Provides support to all locations related to data communications requirements. May provide support to other locations related to network issues. Plans and coordinates security measures to safeguard information in computer files against unauthorized access/destruction. Supervise other network support and client server specialists and plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
Education & Training: BS in Computer Science or Communications ICCP Certifications desired: DCP, CSP, CP
Background & Experience: Seven plus years experience in designing, selecting, and implementing telecommunication systems.
Special Qualifications & Requirements: • Ability to evaluate and research data communication network hardware and software • Must be able to diagnose problems related to the transmission and reception of data communications • Ability to coordinate and manage local and international data communications projects

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide management and leadership to manage, develop communications, security staff at all client locations. Approves the purchase of communications hardware and software Monitors data communications network to ensure network is available to all system users and takes appropriate steps to resolve data communication problems. Distributes work assignments and monitors daily logs of network staff Develop, maintain communications strategies, plans to support changing business objectives. Explains data communications diagnostic and monitoring procedures to network staff, using terminal and following vendor's equipment and software instructions. Explains and demonstrates installation of data communication lines and equipment to network operators. Enters diagnostic commands into computer and determines nature of problem to assist network staff to resolve data communication problems 9. Conducts survey to determine user needs, preferences to set priorities. Reads technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment which meets establishment requirements. Visits vendors to learn about available products or services. Tests and evaluates hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system. Analyzes test data and recommends hardware or software for purchase. Develops and writes procedures for installation, use and solving of problems of communications hardware and software. Monitors network system performance. Coordinates training of users in use of equipment. Assists users to identify and solve data communication problems. May write technical specifications to send to vendors for bid. Will oversee or assist in installation of communications hardware and data security systems. Examine and evaluate security software packages for access to corporate computing system. Monitor use of security software system for proper use and security violations. Define, coordinate, and monitor sectional goals and objectives to be attained by assigned personnel. Responsible for managing the achievement of published project work plans for schedule, estimate, and budget. Monitor budgets and actual spending for all communications spending; recommend improvements to reduce costs, increase service quality.
