Purdue University is seeking 2 expericened Basis Administrators to provide both system and application administration to ensure the stable installation and operation of SAP systems and components running on UNIX and Windows operating systems. This includes securing, patching, system tuning and administering UNIX, Windows and Oracle database environments. Conduct SAP installs, technical configuration and maintenance, configuration of third party software for SAP user administration, and spool maintenance.
Required:
-Bachelor's degree.
-Three years experience installing, configuring and maintaining UNIX server applications.
-Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.
-Knowledge of SAP R/3 basis architecture, concepts, terminology and services.
-Detailed understanding of SAP Support Stacks and OSS functions.
-Understanding of technical security (e.g. firewalls, encryption, SAP, Operating System and Database security).
