Provide direct support to the Technical Producer and assist in scripting, programming, template administration and server/CMS general maintenance. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in the technical maintenance of a high profile traffic intensive website.
Technical skills required are as follows:
• Functional grasp on UNIX / LINUX operating systems and environments including SSH, SCP, SFTP/FTP, and Apache Web Server, particularly with Linux (Red Hat).
• Ability to code in PHP, Perl, and HTML without WYSIWYG editors. (vi, emacs)
• Strong PHP/MySQL skills (as used in creative dynamic, interactive web applications)
• Strong understanding of DHTML, CSS, XHTML, RSS feeds, and JavaScript.
• Experience using and administering content management systems(CMS), particularly those built on Mason and SOAP (Bricolage).
• Ability to write UNIX Shell scripts for the automation of server maintenance tasks.
• Working knowledge of MySQL and/or pgSQL.
• Experience with administering Qmail and/or Send mail servers.
• Some working knowledge of graphics and design programs: Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, and similar tools.
Related Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of Windows 2000, XP, TCP/IP
• General knowledge LAN hardware and software support
• Desktop Support Experience
Needs to know:

• Needs to know HTML, JavaScript, Perl, PHP
• Knowledgeable on the server side
