Contract position
This is a 2nd Level UNIX Support position. Must be flexible with schedule. Must be able to work any shift. Must have current experience with at least 2 flavors or UNIX (RH, AIX, HP-UX or SUN).
DNS - client configuration (required) . Kickstart configuration (required) . SSH - generalize use (required) . Veritas VXVM & VXFS (required) . Ethernet Configuration (required) . RPM (required) . User administration (required) . Fdisk (required) . RC processes. Example: chkconfig, service, etc. (required) . Iptables (required) . Configuring kernel parameters (required) . Kernel module configuration (lsmod, modprobe, etc.) (required) . perl or ksh/bash shell scripting (not required but recommended) . General knowledge of the TCP/IP Stack (required) . /proc file structure (required) . Network and Device troubleshooting at user and kernel levels (required) . mii-tool & ethtool (recommended) . scheduling and logging tools. Example logrotate, crond. (recommended) . knowledge of Intel server hardware from the following: IBM, HP or DELL. . Experienced with one or more of the following virtual consoles: RILO (HP); DELL (DRAC); or IBM (Blade Management Module) . Knowledge of SAN Technologies . Must be flexible with work hours . Current experience in an enterprise environment . Current working experience with using Jumpstart servers (ABT)
