This is an opportunity to let your Cisco Firewall skills shine! Our client is looking for an individual in Braintree, MA (Boston) on a 6 month contract basis initially with the potential to be extended longer or convert.
Qualified individual will be required to ensure network engineering and design support for Firewalls and other security appliances and feature sets whether deployed in data centers or in remote locations. Provide Level 4 engineering support to resolve incidences or outages through the account Network Operations Center Escalations and the GNOC.
The following is a breakdown of duties:
1. 20% will be to maintain infrastructures and resolving incidents or outages and providing engineering support. Individual needs proficiency with Cisco IOS, Cisco firewall feature sets, Cisco ASA product family, VPN, application protocols, firewall rules, DMZ, understanding of routing, routing protocols and network segmentation.
2. 60% will be solution, design, and implement Firewall solutions in support of the client's organization.
3. 20% will be to troubleshoot network and routing issues.
REQUIRED
1. Knowledge of security design elements including firewalls, DMZ, security policies, ACL's, etc.
2. Experience with investigating active data networks and developing fire wall rule sets.
3. Ability to use sniffers and debug traffic flow and security policies at the packet level.
4. Knowledge of the Cisco PIX firewall line and the Cisco firewall feature set.
5. Knowledge of IOS command set especially around security functions.
6. Knowledge of basic networking in a routed LAN / WAN environment.
CERTIFICATIONS
CCNA/CCNP preferred
CISSP highly preferred
