Founded in 1996, and located in SoHo, downtown Manhattan, Warshaw Group, Inc. develops, designs and supports systems for clients in many different industries, including healthcare, engineering, education, political organizations and government.
Warshaw Group is looking for a smart, detail-oriented Database Developer/Analyst to provide project support to large clients, knows how to get things done and can execute timely and quality deliverables. Ideally, someone who is looking to grow within the company.
As part of a team, this job requires use of SQL skills for database queries for medium to large scale analysis, maintaining existing reports and designing new reports and participation in quality control procedures.
Should be a problem solver -- someone able to think analytically and enjoy finding solutions to technical challenges. Should also have good organizational and documentation skills for own programming work.
Must have STRONG analytical skills; be detail oriented; diligent, responsible, team-oriented and able to produce quality work and meet responsibilities in timely fashion including willingness to meet deadlines and assist other team members with projects.
Position
Requires 1-2 years' demonstrated experience with the following technologies:
- Server Database (such as Oracle, MS SQL);
- Reporting (such as Crystal Reports, MS Reporting Services, Excel);
- Experience extracting and manipulating data from relational databases using SQL statements;
- XML/XSLT;
- VB.NET or C# .NET -- not required but a plus.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent;
- Oracle or MS certification or training through Oracle or MS-certified institution not required but is a plus.
