Job description:
My Company is looking for a senior level VB.Net developer with 5 plus years of experience in the following areas:
This person will be working with in-house associates to design, develop & support Microsoft VB.NET web based applications.
Responsibilities:
*Develop and support Web-based applications utilizing VB.NET and the .NET Framework
*Participate in all phases of the Web Development Life Cycle
*Mentor junior developers by guiding them in development
*Lead design discussions/facilitate technical meetings
*Follow enterprise Web development standards
Required Skills:
*Strong programming skills (min. 5+ years overall software development experience in VB.NET including web based applications)
*Strong database skills (min. 5+ years overall using SQL server including use of DTS Packages, scripts and proficiency in writing SQL business logic, understanding of table and index design, etc.)
*Proficiency with XML and Web Service calls
*Strong knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems
*Knowledge and experience with MQ Series
*Professional self starter who is clever, innovative and able to work independently
*Strong organization skills
*Effective communication and good interpersonal skills
