Responsibilities and Duties:
- A Single Point of Contact for Delivery Program Manager
- Attend and Provide Environments Status at Delivery Team and Environment Status Meetings
- Ensure Environment usage problems are resolved per Program Priorities (Development & Test Strings)
- Ensure Development, Test, Production Environment Builds are:
- Designed and Planned with Delivery Team input and acceptance;
- Available On-time, within Budget and with High Quality.
- Built with minimal surprises using planned and coordinated:
-Development Infrastructure Implementation Plan (DIIP);
-Verifications (Unit test, SWIT, SIT, SAT, and UAT);
-Configuration Management, Development and Test Tools.
- Participate in Program Change Management, ensuring:
- Delivery Team voice is provided for Environment CRs at ChangeBoards;
- Delivery Team Environment-related impacts are identified;
- Delivery Team Schedules are updated;
- Provides CR Impact Assessments for Environments.
- Ensure Development Infrastructure Implementation Plan (DIIP) is:
- Prepared and Maintained for the Delivery;
- Satisfies Delivery Team Requirements and Milestones;
- Satisfies schedule and cost constraints (design to cost, min TCO).
- Ensure String Delivery Teams and Managers:
- Follow Program Processes and Procedures;
- Provide accurate schedule and ETC Status;
- Provide effective resource management;
- Provide success oriented Issue and Risk management.
- Ensure Continuous Process Improvement:
- Ensure that Lessons are captured and learned;
- Calibrate planning templates and parameters;
- Identify and champion productivity improvement opportunities.
Experience: 5 - 10 Years
Desired Level of Efficiency/Other Experience Comments:
- Ensures on-time delivery to the users by managing and resolving deployment and operation dependencies including change request management, configuration management and asset management.
- Ensures high quality delivery through independent verification of environment infractucture and completion criteria establishment & verification.
- Provides singe point of contact to the Release Delivery Manager to ensure schedule and budget accountability.
- Ability to enhance cross-program communication: improve communication and coordination with delivery teams, ensure satisfaction of delivery team environment requirements, and ensure satisfaction of delivery team environment availabilit needs.
- Ability to ensure resolution of Environment usage problems per Program priorities.
- Ability to monitor Environment usage and support to avoid usage problems.
Education: Masters
Desired Training/Certifications/Other Education Comments:
M.B.A or M.S. Software Engineering with 8 years Program Management experience, Project Management training, PMI certification preferred
or B.S. in Computer Science with 13 years Program Management experience.
Unique Skills:
- Candidate must meet security clearance requirements for Customs and Border Protection.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- CBP requires that for the three (3) years prior to the filing of an application for employment, individuals must meet the one or more of the following primary residence criteria:
(a) the applicant resided in the United States (short trips abroad, such as vacations, will not necessarily disqualify an applicant); or
(b) the applicant worked for the U.S. Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or
(c) the applicant was a dependent of a U.S. Federal or military employee serving overseas.
