We currently have a client with the following permanent positions:
SAP BW Project Manager (Front-End)
Provides technical direction on projects to BW team or project participants. Provides formalized, continuing work direction, and leadership to more junior BW team personnel to ensure timely and effective project execution. Takes a lead role in assisting with direction, planning, and the installation of Information Technology projects which typically involve and impact multiple business areas. Plans, coordinates and completes large-scale or several medium or small, complex or long term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Maintains thorough knowledge of new development and/or technology pertaining to project(s). Monitors and recommends changes for improvement. Position usually requires five to eight years of experience and an advanced degree, or the equivalent and in-depth knowledge in area of specialty.
The position will include interacting with a team of business representatives to gather requirements, prioritize work, develop enhancements to the existing system, coordinate testing, and perform change management / training for BW Reporting and BW Financial applications. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for delegating work, training team members in BW functionality, proposing the use of new functionality to improve Business Processes or ease of use, and managing a portion of the report portfolio for the business units. The individual must have at least 2 BW Implementations in the financial areas and have related R/3 experience (preferably in PCA or ECCS), and strong accounting and finance background (i.e. familiar with P&L and Balance Sheet Reporting). A critical component of this role is assuring that all BW loads/jobs process without error (scheduled / non-schedule -- my require off-hour support). The candidate must also have experience in supporting existing SAP Systems for at least 1 year. A CPA and / or MBA is a plus.
Qualifications:
Strategic Planning - Competent; Workflow/Document Management - Competent; Operational Budgeting - Competent; Bachelor's - Sciences; Supplier/Vendor Relationships - Competent; Team Problem Solving - Competent; Project / team leadership - Competent; Candidate should have 3 or more years of experience in BW Reporting related to Financial Reporting. The following experience is required/desired: a. Experience reporting on PCA, CCA, or ECCS data is required. b. Experience in any of the following R/3 Financial areas: FI-GL, PCA, CCA, PS, AM, TR, AP, AR, ECCS is a plus. c. Experience with BW version 3.5 or higher (2004S / IP) including integrating queries in web templates is required. d. Experience with integrating Report access via Enterprise Portal is required. e. Experience with Complex Dashboards desired. f. Experience with Web Application Designer required. g. Experience with Data Modeling (Cubes, Multi-providers, ODS) required. h. Experience with Performance Tuning required (Aggregates, Staging Levels). i. Experience with BEX Queries required. j. Experience analyzing and loading Info Packages. k. Experience working in a multi-currency environment desired. This position is a Front-End position (not back-end).
