Interstaff Solutions (www.interstaffsolutions.com) has teamed up with this business consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing services provider to identify and hire three top-gun Project Managers.
These openings are for individuals with strong drive and experience in consulting, management, BSS/OSS architecture and application lifecycle development.
Responsibilities:
• Assess impacts across ordering, provisioning, and billing applications, and to some degree network applications.
• Complete business requirements through working with the business units.
• Complete conceptual design using object-oriented design principles.
• Provide functional IT expertise in strategy sessions in determining future IT portfolio direction.
• Inform and align impacted groups to prepare for impact.
• Develop and maintain the technology project portfolio.
• Identifying, escalating, communicating and resolving issues that prevent successful completion of client work and interaction with the client on delivery (e.g. status reports).
• Consolidate and communicate team status to project leadership.
• Ensure the creation of quality deliverables meeting business requirements.
• Understand and interpret business requirements and use cases.
• Executive status to company and client organization.
• Development of software requirements and technical specifications.
• Relationship building with the client organization.
• Identification and business development.
Qualifications:
• Must have understanding of BSS/OSS architecture and business functions supported by such systems.
• Must be able to translate business requirements into a design that 1.) developers can produce class interaction diagrams, 2.) business users will understand how requirements will be implemented.
• Must be able to synthesize complex issues into a language that can be understood by developers, analysts, and business users.
• Must have intimate knowledge of Rational Unified Process and possess ability to use portions of process and deliverables that are pertinent to the task at hand.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent consulting and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent business development skills.
• Ability to travel to client sites.
• Self-learner, committed to self development.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• 5+ years of consulting/management experience.
• A four-year college degree and/or relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated team management leadership in two different aspects of development (requirements, development, testing, production support).
• Excellent communication skills (Microsoft office, oral/written).
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations and can perform crisis management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with offshore development teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the business processes for telecommunications companies in at least 2 areas (provisioning/ordering, billing, collections, network management, operations).
• Demonstrated knowledge of telecom in at least one of the following: wireless, wireline, cable, broadband.
• Demonstrated underlying technical foundation including several years of programming, design and development of client/server or web technologies.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability - must be able to think/create system solutions to solve business problems.
• Work experience in the complete programming life cycle (design, code, test and document) in a business environment.
