Primary Purpose:
Develop and integrate in-house/third-party software applications that support business processes and information needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other Duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. 2. Work with clients, analysts, and team members to develop technical solutions for moderate to complex business problems. 3. Develop and execute test plans, test specifications, and test cases. 4. Provide guidance and training to less experienced programmers and analysts. 5. Provide application support, which includes problem research, analysis, resolution, and on-call support. 6. Work with Quality Assurance/Testing groups to resolve issues and to ensure software quality. 7. Complete documentation and adhere to all development and implementation standards in accordance with IT Standards and Procedures. Required Skills and Competencies: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Associate's degree in Information Technology related curriculum or equivalent education and related training 2. Four years of experience or equivalent proficiency in application design and programming 3. Good verbal and written communication skills 4. Working knowledge of PC applications such as Microsoft Office 5. Ability to work independently or as a member of a team 6. Ability to train others 7. Ability to travel as needed
3-5 years of Object Oriented Design and Development. Preference given to those with J2EE, Websphere, Unix/AIX and DB2. Experience with Tibco is desired but not required.
