EXPERIENCED JAVA / J2EE DEVELOPER
Summary:
The Product Development Group of COMPANY is searching for an experienced Java/J2EE developer to join our team. The focus of this position is to provide the required backup and guidance to our Professional Services organization (Support and Customer Implementation Projects) based on a solid knowledge and deep technical understanding of our Core Platform and Standard Product. Experience gained in this position will be used to enhance and extend future versions of our Core Development Platform and Standard Products.
Responsibilities:
* Develop Product versions that provide enhancements required to ensure the success of customer implementations.
* Provide necessary guidance to various Professional Services teams to enable successful delivery of hot patches as well as customer-tailored implementations.
* Work to correct, enhance, and extend future releases to address current Core Development Platform and/or Standard Product limitations.
Qualifications:
* Five years experience developing J2EE web-based solutions
* Strong knowledge of Java, Javascript, JSP, EJB
* Strong knowledge of SQL and relational Databases
* Experience tuning Oracle Databases is a plus, but not required
* Working with Application Containers such as IBM/Websphere and /or BEA/Weblogic
* Experience working with Crystal Reports
* Knowledge/Experience working with a messaging mechanism such as IBM/MQ
* Strong desire to learn and understand the concept and details of an existing software solution
* A team player, open to guidance
* Effective communication with peers and other groups
* The ability to guide, develop and train application developers from other groups is a key requirement.
* Good writing skills
* Banking or Financial background -- an advantage
Education:
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science
