Our Client is building some of the best software configuration management products available. Company is growing rapidly - had over 65% increase in revenue for 2006. VC backed and privately held, boasts over 300 customers - many of which are well known global enterprises. Currently have 60 total employees with 20 or so in engineering and continuing to grow. Voted one of the best 100 places to work in 2006 according by the Boston Business Journal.

Currently our client seeks a Senior software engineer to join their core development team. Work with a small team of developers to design and implement software products and components, be involved in all aspects of product development and deployment. Proficient with high performance code and ready to solve complex problems for multi-threaded applications. Have a can do attitude and the ability to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• prepare design specifications for application components.
• Develop application components using C and C++.
• Produce clean, documented code within specifications.
• Participate in the architecture and design of overall application.
• support the technical needs of customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent C / C++ skills.
• 4+ years designing, implementing and deploying enterprise-level distributed applications.
• Experience with client/server applications in a Windows/Linux/Unix cross platform environment
• understanding design and how to communicate the design of complex software systems.
• Familiarity with XML, SOAP and web services is a plus.
• Familiar with security, access control lists, and encryption is a plus.

Compensation: 80k-110k, (depending on experience/expertise)
