Job Summary:
Test Design (30%)
- Develop comprehensive product test fixtures for serial production of PHYTEC Single Board Computer subassemblies (SBCs)
- Specify, develop, set-up, implement and debug software used with product test fixtures per standard PHYTEC product test procedures
- Manual test and bring-up of prototype PHYTEC SBCs, as needed, prior to completion of serial production test fixtures and processes, with goal of re-use of manual test code and procedures in serial production tests
Software Development (30%)
- C/C++ programming and application code
- Specify, develop, set-up, implement and debug software for use with PHYTEC product test fixtures
- Windows Embedded CE and Linux Board Support Packages (BSPs) maintenance and driver adaptation
- Software Documentation, Version Control and Technical Support
- Install Shield for integration of documentation, demo programs and other relevant data on the self-installing PHYTEC Spectrum CDs to Windows platforms
Hardware Development (30%)
- Design customer-specific target hardware, based on existing PHYTEC Carrier Board circuitry, in support of volume OEM deployment of PHYTEC SBC subassemblies
General (10%): Engage in other technical, sales, marketing, trade show and administrative duties, as necessary
Requirements:
- Experience with embedded systems software development tools, operating systems and low-level device driver development.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- C/C++ programming and schematic capture capabilities
- Windows Embedded CE and Linux programming experience
- Ability to quickly learn new software tools and programming skills for a variety of platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to work both independently and within a small team environment
- Flexibility, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a high energy work environment
Desired Skills
- Multiple hardware platform experience (in particular ARM and XScale)
- Project management experience
