The client is in need of IT Business Consultant for 8 weeks contract to back-fill an employeei n Charlotte Service Center. The position may be transferred into permanent after 2 weeks.
Job Description:
The candidate will be a member of the data center's Open Systems Support team, working under general supervision, working either 8 AM to 5 PM or 11 AM to 8 PM as needed, with the possibility of weekend work or on-call work. Support 600+ servers running 50+ different applications. Perform server builds and racking, cabling, O/S upgrades and other patching.
Education:
Advanced knowledge of server hardware troubleshooting
Proficient with network topologies and protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, WAN)
Experience:
Experience with security requirements such as PCI and COBIT
Experience with hardware load-balancing (F5 BIGIP preferred)
Advanced experience with MS Windows 2003 Active Directory management and administration
Advanced experience with MS Windows 2000 Server and MS Windows Server 2003
5-7 years experiences in the following areas
Configuration, administration and maintenance of Windows Active Directory
Configuration, administration and maintenance of Microsoft Windows server operating systems
Backup, restoral and policy configuration using Veritas NetBackup
3-5 years experience with the configuration and administration of SAN technology (EMC preferred)
Certificates/Licenses: MCSE on Windows Server 2003
